Airborne LiDAR Map

Airborne LiDAR mapping is an advanced technology used to create detailed maps of the Earth’s surface. It involves mounting a special instrument on an aircraft that emits laser pulses towards the ground. These laser pulses bounce back when they encounter objects, like trees or buildings. By measuring time it takes for the laser pulses to return, the LiDAR system can calculate the distance to each object. This information is then used to build 3D models of the area. Airborne LiDAR is particularly useful for mapping forests, coastlines, and urban areas by generating Digital Terrain Model (DTM).
